BeskrivelseAbout the positionThe Department of Clinical Medicine is looking for an administrative coordinator in a 50% temporary position at the Centre for Cancer Cell Programming - CanCell. The desired start is 01.01.2024, and ending 31.07.2025CanCell focuses on investigating cancer cells' weak points ("Achilles' heels"), and then using these weaknesses to treat cancer with new methods. The centre is funded by the Research Council of Norway, started in 2018 and will last until 2028.Administrative coordinator is a central administrative support function for the centre. The administrative coordinator will, in consultation with the centre management, take care of the day-to-day operations at CanCell. The administrative coordinator reports to the centre leader.The position is part of the network for administrative managers at the Department of Clinical Medicine.The workplace will be the Centre for Cancer Cell Programming (CanCell), Radium Hospital/Institute for Cancer Research (Oslo University Hospital).For more information about CanCell see https://www.med.uio.no/cancell/english/Work tasksTake care of the day-to-day administrative operations of the centre's university activitiesImplement decisions made by the centre management and the management team.Financial management, financial reporting and budget workAct as a link between the centre and partners regarding administrative issuesCoordinating the centre's activities in a complex organizational landscape with two faculties and three institutes as well as OUS as a partner.Communicate the centre's activities, including preparation of the centre's annual report and updating of websites.Plan and coordinate the centre's meetings and seminars, including meetings with the board and advisory board, where the administrative coordinator has a secretarial function.Contact point for UiO employees in the centre.Qualification requirementsHigher education at master's level within one or more of the subject areas of economics, administration, management. Scientific education at master's level in one of the centre's subject areas, in addition to relevant work experience, will be able to compensate for the administrative education requirement.Documented experience from the position's task portfolio, primarily from the university and/or hospital sector.Research administrative experience, including knowledge of the design of project applications and funding sources.Good communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.Good organizational skills and good organizational understanding.Desirable skills/experienceAdministrative coordinator is a key support position for the centre leadership and the other researchers at the centre. In order to meet the needs of the research community in the best possible way, research background in one of the centre's subject areas, in addition to administrative competence will be an advantage.Personal skillsWe are looking for a structured, independent, solution-oriented and service-oriented employee with good execution power, who through professional background and experience can contribute to the development and administrative operation of the centre and to a good working environment.
