We are recruiting for redeployment project for the Baleine Field in Côte d’Ivoire.Altera Infrastructure has been selected by Eni and its partner Petroci for using the Voyageur Spirit on Baleine Field in Côte d’Ivoire.The Voyageur Spirit will undergo upgrade and life extension work in Dubai, to be ready for a firm operating period of 15 years on Baleine.   Job DescriptionThe Project buyer will report to RLE lead / Project procurement manager and will be an integral part of Project Procurement team, working collaboratively with the rest of the Supply Chain, Technical and Operation team.Ensure that all activities are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements,AIC policies and according to AP302 Purchasing Procedure, and other established Supply Chain procedures and processesSourcing of material and services for requisitions received from vessels, projects or onshore support, issue request for quotations, follow up on clarifications and quotes, evaluate quotes and additional cost, selectSupplier and issue Purchase Orders, in accordance AP302 - Facilitate for technical clarifications of QuotesEvaluate and negotiate appropriate commercial terms and conditions with suppliers. - Issue POs with cost-coding as per instructions given by budget owner and aligned with the budget.Expedite and follow up deliveries to secure on-time delivery of assigned PO’s. Update Star FSM and ensure - good communication with Stakeholders Offshore and Onshore. Specific follow-up on urgent MRs/PO’sLiaise with all relevant parties to facilitate timely QA/QC inspection arrangements, if required - Follow up return of material or disputes, until credit notes are received.Keep accurate records of all procurement files and use them as a reference for future activities.Ensure FSM data for assigned PRs/POs reflects correct values, statuses and other data parameters used for accruals reporting, dashboards and other data and spend-analysisMaximize opportunities for cost-effective purchasing activities. Continuously screen suppliers to ensure best - possible price, delivery, quality and level of service are achievedRetain accountability for, and follow up on continuous basis, purchase requests that have been assigned to other Purchasers for your assigned Vessel(s) or Projects, to ensure that the Supply Chain team collectively help each other to deliver and reach the KPI targets set. - Liaise with Logistic and Operations/Project regarding best and most cost-effective method for shipmentsFocal point for all handling of material logistic for your assigned Vessels(s)/Projects from suppliers to/from supply base and helicopter terminal, including booking of material on helicopter, if required. Follow up and ensure good communication with onshore supply base and offshore- and onshore StakeholdersEnsure good communication with company`s partners for logistics and customs clearance. If the region has a separate role as Material & Logistic Coordinator covering these tasks, the Purchaser shall give support when needed.Ensure timely handling of invoices and verify that commercial terms are according to the PO and requirements for back-up documentation are met. Review deliverables, handle disputes, follow up of invoices and credits not received, and ensure timely closing of PO’s - Prepare, review, and submit complete and accurate monthly accruals reports including documentation, for assigned vessel(s) or project, in accordance with established procedures and deadlinesHandle OS&D’s, report Vendor Deviations and propose and close corrective actionsMonitor KPI Dashboard for your assigned Vessel(s) and Projects and coordinate with your line Manager to - ensure necessary actions are taken to meet the KPIsCarry out additional duties, as reasonably requested by line manager and functional managers requirementsQualification RequirementsRelevant Education or Business qualification in Supply Chain Management/Purchasing or suitably qualified  with relevant experienceGood insight and knowledge of international offshore/marine supplier market7 years relevant experience within purchasing, gained within the marine/offshore industryGood understanding of business economics and accountingKnowledge of Contracts & Procurement in the offshore/marine industryGood negotiation skillsGood communications skills, both written and verballyStrong English skills, written and verballStrong interpersonal skills applied to a multi-disciplined project team.Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and presentations.Flexibility - Problem-solving skillsSystematic and analytic.Recent relevant experience in Asian / European shipyards is an advantage.Commercial acumen requiredAbout MDEWhen the right people connect, we create value.MDE Group is a global recruitment company, specializing in finding and placing the greatest talents worldwide.
