Role description and main tasks:Project Management: Support the Project Manager and Project Engineering Manager in leading and managing oil and gas projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards.Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support in the planning, design, and execution of oil and gas projects, including drilling, production, and infrastructure development.Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges in projects and develop mitigation strategies to ensure safety and compliance with industry regulations.Procurement and Vendor Management: Oversee the procurement of equipment, materials, and services, facilitate and expedite project team - Vendors relationships to ensure timely project delivery.HSE Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project life cycle, promoting a culture of safety.Cost Control: Support the Project Manager and Project Engineering Manager by identifying and/or proposing cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality standards.Stakeholder Communication: Foster effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular progress reports to management and clients.Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality control and assurance processes to meet project specifications and industry standards.Team Leadership: Support the Project Manager and Project Engineering Manager in motivating project teams, assigning tasks, and ensuring team members have the necessary resources and support to achieve project goals.Qualifications , skills and experience:Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical).Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering within the Energy, Oil, and Gas sector.Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of oil and gas operations, production techniques, and industry regulations.Project Management Skills: Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk assessment.Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of oil and gas processes, equipment, and systems.HSE: familiarity with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management, and commitment to safety in project execution.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex engineering challenges.Software Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software, CAD tools, and relevant industry software.Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and lead by example.
