We strive for operational excellence fostering a culture based on competency, collaboration, and people development.We are now looking for a Senior Application Engineer to strengthen our team. You will work in a dynamic and self-driven environment, contributing to further development of our Business Application portfolio. The position will report to Manager Application and Middleware – Infrastructure Operations.Your responsibilities will include:Operate, maintain, and improve Business Applications on multiple platforms including Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) and High-Performance Compute (HPC)Optimize application performance, scalability, and security on a wide range of different platforms and technologiesDevelop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates for automated provisioning and configuration of Azure resources, including dockers and Kubernetes, in accordance with best practices and Statkraft security policiesTake initiative to analyze, review and identify potential improvements and modernization points in existing environmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop security strategies and implement necessary measures to protect against threatsStay updated with Cloud technologies, features, and industry trends, and propose improvements to infrastructure operations processesQualificationsTo be successful in this role, we believe you have:Five or more years of experience related to Application operations and engineering as well as significant understanding of operating models and operational excellenceSignificant and broad over-all IT Infrastructure competency.Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including container orchestration, deployment, and managementScripting and automation skills using Bicep, JSON, Azure DevOps, PowerShellBachelor’s or master's degree within relevant fields, or relevant work experienceCertifications related to cloud technologies is an advantageThese skills and experience will also be beneficial in your role:Self-driven, motivated, and adaptable individual to an organization that is under transformationExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesPassion for continuous learning and staying updated with Infrastructure and cloud trends and best practicesAdditional InformationWhat we offer:Unlimited learning opportunities at various levels of the organizationThe chance to grow your career alongside a truly global network of experts, leaders, specialists, and graduates from different countries and backgroundsThe opportunity to work somewhere with pride, and be able to honestly say “My work is contributing to saving the planet”A work culture that puts emphasis on the individual, offering flexible working solutions, and work-life balance principlesStatkraft offers competitive terms of employment and benefit schemes, and we’re a trusted employer that puts the safety of our people first.
