The Group produces hydropower, wind power, solar power, gas-fired power and supplies district heating. Statkraft is a global company in energy market operations. Statkraft has 5,700 employees in 21 countries. The New Business Development unit is a growing unit of 5 employees in the Future Business organization in BA X. The unit is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities with potential to become new business domains for Statkraft. The approach to building businesses will combine organic development, partnerships, as well as selective and targeted M&A. The New Business Development unit is with this the engine to deliver on the ambition for Future Business and BA X of developing a portfolio of new businesses with a significant enterprise value by 2030. Succeeding with this is key to build robustness for Statkraft for the longer term. The unit collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels both across Statkraft and outside the company.The VP New Business Development will have the following responsibilities: Lead and develop the New Business Development team including building the required capacity and competence to succeed. Develop and maintain a strategy and implementation plan for how to deliver on ambitions and objectives for the unit. This includes monitoring and updating the strategic focus areas for business opportunities within new frontiers in coordination with the other units in Future Business, Corporate Strategy and BA X Strategy. Identify and develop promising business opportunities within the predefined strategic scope, through organic growth and M&A. The organic growth approach is to develop early phase ideas internally in Statkraft or with selected partners. The M&A approach is to acquire stakes in small to medium sized companies at different maturity levels for the purpose of building new business. Manage and further develop the organic growth portfolio and the M&A portfolio, including tracking performance and development of value added. Position Statkraft at external arenas and facilitate collaboration with externals as well as other units in Statkraft on building new opportunities within new frontiers. The role reports to SVP Future Business and is a member of the Future Business management team. QualificationsExperience and proven ability to lead and develop teams, including building the required competence and capacity in the team Entrepreneur with demonstrated experience and track record from business development and business building, both organic and M&A A strategic mindset with the capability to build the organisation, processes, and structures required to deliver on targetsProfessionalism and integrityRelationship builder with the ability to collaborate constructively with business and functional leaders Comfortable with complexity and change Higher relevant education at Master´s levelExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
