You provide technical support for engineering, testing, installation, and commissioning activities and acts as a technical specialist with good knowledge of Electrical Control Solutions and Power Management Solutions.In this role, you will work close with the Project Management team, the Project Engineering team, suppliers, and customers.This position reports to Section Manager, Electrical Control Solutions engineering team.Your responsibilitiesEngineering & Design of electrical control solutions and power management solutions, including interfaces to high, medium and low voltage switchboards, transformers, rotating equipment, and more.Design solutions and follow up specifications according to customer’s requirements and applicable standards.Implement customer functional requirements into control systems based on ABB’s and 3rd party products.Follow up and execute review and upgrade-activities in projects.The position involves working together with Norwegian and internationals customers and vendors therefore some travelling must be expected.Your backgroundExperience from working with Electrical Control Solutions and Power Management Solutions including electrical control networks and interfacing of electrical equipment (typical standards IEC 61850, Profinet, Modbus).Knowledge of Electrical systems and its protections (IEDs) on low and medium voltage.Experience from working with Marine, Oil and Gas, or Land based industry.Familiar working with MS Windows and network topology & components.B.Sc. or M.Sc. or equivalent in Electrical or Automation/Control engineering.Fluent in both Norwegian and English, verbal and written.Commercial awareness. Team player and service minded.Eager to learn and develop yourself and your colleagues.
