Join a hardware-driven and focused team dedicated to build the future ABB power conversions equipment for the Navy business.We are looking for an engineer to join us for an exciting and challenging future. You will participate in electrical and mechanical design, SW architecture, Hardware/Software documentation and lifecycle management for our military products.Your responsibilitiesYou will develop complex power electronic components for conversion equipment which will apply for sub-networks and drives systems.You will be responsible for evolve concepts and specifications for corresponding hardware architecture of electrical components.Your engagement will be in the complete development gate process for products like requirement tracking, providing specifications, provide tests and documentation as well as control and monitor assembling.You will conduct and consult commissioning, service and support the fulfilment of required quality for the products. You will consult the customer for their best technical solution and train product user.Your backgroundBachelor’s or Master’s degree within relevant field.You have very good expertise in development of power electronics applications.You have strong interest and talent in developing concepts, simulation, product development and documentation for sub-networks systems and drive systems.You have experience with simulation programs and execution of digital control and regulation algorithm.You can communicate fluently in Norwegian and English.In order to be a good fit for this role we believe that you have a practical pro-active attitude and a systematic and result oriented method of operation.More about usThe position reports to Department Manager of special converters and is located in Oslo (Fornebu).
