We are looking for a Senior Layout Engineer to strengthen our Piping and Layout department in Oslo. As a Senior Layout Engineer you will contribute to Aibel's exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition.About the positionIn this position, you will wokr in multi-discipline areas and in the Concept & Studies group. In Aibel we are focused on great team participation and effort. Many opportunities will be possible for the right person, including ability to take on leadership roles within the project organization and in the Concept & Studies group. Responsibilities and tasks includePerform general layout evaluations and piping layout activities by using Aveva E3D modelling and draft toolsEvaluate access, working environment and material handling in physical layout and designKnowledge and ability to create plot plans, equipment layouts and piping drawings in E3D Draw according to project plans and requirementsParticipate in design reviewsAbility and willingness to take on leadership roles and do mentoring of others.QualificationsBachelor or Masters degree in relevant field10-15 years experience in layout design and E3D/PDMS modellingExperience within Oil & Gas, Offshore Wind Substations (HVAC/HVDC) layouts and Hydrogen Production PlantsExperience in concept development workExperience and understanding in Greenfield and Brownfield designKnowledge of rules and regulations for layout designExperience in fabrication, site support and commissioningGood communication skills in English, spoken and written. Norwegian language skills are appreciated but not required. A willingness to learn Norwegian is preferredPersonal qualitiesMulti-discipline understandingProactive, seek advice/knowledge sharing in design processesCooperative working attitudeLayout and design based on Norsok knowledge and loyalty to project deadlines and quality requirementsIntercultural competence and acceptance for multi-cultural working teamsBecome our colleagueAibel offers many career opportunities.
