Job Purpose We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Manager SW Application Engineering to join our Controls and Automation (C&A) SW Engineering team.The C&A Software Engineering team works with various technologies, including SCADA software systems, Industrial Automation platforms, analog electronics, FPGA, SoC, power design, safety design, motor controller design and power line modems. These technologies are utilized in different control system applications and software.As the Manager of Software Application Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading a team of talented software application engineers in the delivery of software applications for subsea control systems. In this job you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and quality assurance, to deliver robust and scalable solutions. Your leadership skills and technical expertise will be instrumental in driving the success of our software projects and ensuring the team's growth and development. Job Description Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define project requirements and prioritize tasks.Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications.Ensure adherence to software development best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements and tools.Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely and successful project delivery.Conduct regular team meetings, stand-ups, and project reviews to monitor progress and address any issues.Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages creativity, innovation, and professional growth.Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development.You are meant for this job if you have competence within one or more of the areas below: SW process managementCloud Services & TechnologiesSoftware Quality ManagementQuality management systemsUnderstanding of ERP and PLM system's high level data flowOffice 365, SharePoint, JIRA, DevOps, Teamcenter, SAPYou have the following qualifications:BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldCapable of a structural approach to solving complex problemsOpen-minded, speak professional English and is adaptable for working in multicultural environment.Continuously seeking improvements and thrive working with change management.Experience in software application engineering, with a focus on team leadership and management.Experience in Subsea Control Systems is a plus.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Proven track record of successfully delivering software projects on time and within budget.Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Norway, without sponsorship.What we offer at TechnipFMC:Exciting global environmentEngaging tasks and work-life balanceFlexible working arrangementsState of the art development environmentTraining and carrier development opportunitiesGood insurance and pension plansPracticalites:Place of work: KongsbergApplication deadline: 26 October 2023For more information, please contact manager Ricardo Marques - ricardo.marques@technipfmc.com
