CLOSING DATE 22 OCTOBER 2023As a Performance Drilling Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in gathering and analyzing drilling data acquired from NOV’s Wired Drill Pipe system, translating complex technical information into clear and actionable insights, and presenting them effectively to our clients. Your ability to bridge the gap with your technical understanding of the offshore drilling process, and expertise in data analytics and presentation will be key to your success in this role. As a person you are customer focused and autonomous with deep technical understanding of drilling operations and a passion for optimizing performance.You will work with:Collect, analyze, and interpret drilling data to identify patterns, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities.Work closely with our customers, including their data and optimization teams, to understand how they utilize real-time downhole insights. Offer analytical support for their initiatives.Translate technical drilling insights into clear and concise reports, presentations, and recommendations for clients.Translate product performance results into clear and easily recognizable customer benefits, ensuring they understand the advantages of our technologies.Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in drilling operations, drawing upon your technical understanding, particularly in offshore settings.As an SME for specific products, present product capabilities and technical solutions to customers. Provide deep insights into customer value and how our technologies can enhance their well programs.Collaborate with Product Line and Engineering teams to develop design specifications for software applications based on downhole measurements.Prepare comprehensive post-run analysis reports, highlighting insights gained, performance results, optimization recommendations (as needed), and the tangible value provided to the customer.Assist the Sales and Operations teams in refining customer scope of work by defining measurable metrics that can be quantified upon project completion.Support the creation and presentation of technical articles and papers to enhance the company's reputation and explore new markets and applications.Conduct training sessions within the organization on drilling topics, such as swab and surge, drilling dysfunction, and provide in-depth technical understanding of products, such as Wired Drill Pipe.You will have:Engineering or relevant technical degree within Drilling or similar field.Advanced knowledge in Drilling Dynamics and Drilling Optimization, preferably with certification in OptimizationProficiency in Advanced Log Interpretation.Understanding of Borehole Enlargement.Familiarity with Drilling Tools applications.Knowledge of Drill String/BHA Components.Join our team:MDTotco is a business group within the Wellbore Technologies segment, and with our Downhole Broadband Solutions and Real-Time Services we are focusing on drilling automation & optimization by use of downhole data. Our department concentrates primarily on deployment of wired drill pipe (WDP) technology and along-string measurement (ASM) tools in drilling operations. The system allows transmission of real-time, high-density, low-latency data from logging-while-drilling (LWD) tools and from ASM subs. These tools provided temperature, annular/internal pressure, rotation, and vibration data. The Wired Pipe enables our clients to complete wells safer, faster with higher confidence.(ref: 23097)
