Northern Lights delivers CO2 transport and storage as a service. Our aim is to enable the decarbonisation of industrial emissions. Northern Lights is looking for a Senior Injection Engineer to help us optimise safe CO2 injection. The Senior Injection Engineer will assess well performance and support optimisation of injection operations. Also, the Senior Injection Engineer will support new developments and well planning in existing and new licence areas. This position is located in Stavanger.

Daily follow up of operations. Perform well diagnostic and performance evaluations. Support injection optimization, reservoir monitoring and management. Support risk assessments. Comply and contribute to Northern Lights safety culture.

What we need from you?The Northern Lights team operates with a "one team" and a strong new business mentality with support from shareholders both directly and through various Service Agreements. You will need to be willing and able to challenge conventional thinking and approaches to arrive at innovative, fit for purpose and effective business outcomes.More specifically:Broad experience working as a reservoir / production / injection engineer across various asset life cycle projects. Well surveillance, injection planning & optimization. Experience with well diagnostics, and remedial services / workovers Familiar with relevant production / injection modelling software and motivated to adapt new tools. Flow assurance competencies. Production chemistry expertise. Rock mechanic skills. Qualifications:You have an University degree in Petroleum Technology or similar, 8 years relevant experience from injection operations- as reservoir or production tech. engineer. You are service minded, have a high level of personality integrity and ethical awareness. We need you to feel comfortable with working towards tight deadlines, the ability to adapt to different environments and having a high level of self-autonomy, initiative and drive.You have excellent skills in communication, both verbally and in writing, in English. Norwegian langugage skills are an advantage but not a requirement.

Om arbeidsgiveren Northern Lights JV is responsible for developing and operating CO2 transport and storage facilities, open to third parties, as part of Longship, the Norwegian Government’s full-scale carbon capture and storage project. When it starts operations in 2024, it will be the first ever cross-border, open-source CO2 transport and storage infrastructure network, shipping CO2 to an onshore receiving terminal at Øygarden on the Norwegian west coast, before being transported by pipeline for permanent storage in a reservoir 2,600 metres under the seabed.
