Norsk Solar is an IPP and a renewable energy provider with headquarters in Norway and operational offices in Vietnam, Brazil, South Africa and Spain. We are now looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our corporate legal team in Norway. This is an exciting position in a growing company listed in the Merkur market on the Oslo Stock Exchange.About the roleNorsk Solar’s legal department consists of the corporate legal team and local legal counsels in each of our country units. As part of the corporate legal team the Senior Legal Counsel will be reporting directly to EVP Strategy and General Counsel and be involved in most legal aspects of our company, supporting and enabling the continued growth of Norsk Solar.Work location is Oslo or Stavanger (other Norsk Solar offices can be considered for the right candidate).Responsibilities and Key ActivitiesThe role of Senior Legal Counsel involves tasks on a wide spectrum of legal topics and matters. As our organization establishes and matures across different markets, these are some of the main activities:International contractsCorporate governanceProject support to our country unitsFinancing contractsLegal entity structures and companies across our operating marketsCollaborate with different departments across our business to ensure the company always deliver on its plans and targets with the highest quality and integrity.Legal opinions, assessments and sign-offsRisk assessments and risk monitoringLegal and integrity due diligenceDevelopment and maintenance of company templates and standards within the legal domainTraining of our employees and business partnersSupport to our local legal counselsQualificationsMaster of Law with strong academic resultsMinimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably from a recognized law firm or equivalent in-house legal teamConsiderable knowledge and interest in contract law and/or renewable energy.
