Wellbeing, communication, and hard work is important to us, and we work together as a team to deliver to our customers.To strengthen our team, Aker Solutions in Stavanger is looking for a Senior Material Engineer who can help us succeed. What will you be doing? Perform material selection, corrosion evaluation, define surface protection and evaluate insulation alternatives in engineering studies, detail engineering projects, and fabrication & installation activities Input to package specifications, quotations and tender evaluations Review of supplier documentation and follow-up and maintain quality requirements Ensure that project and vendor deliveries are performed according to contract requirements Visit project sites and sub suppliers and perform necessary QA activities Identify material deviations from current requirements, evaluate and develop solutions to any deviationsWe think you should have some of the following:Do you have Master, Bachelors, or technical education?Higher technical education (MSc) within relevant area (Metallurgy, Materials Technology, Welding, Corrosion Evaluations, Surface Preparation and Coatings) is required Comprehensive knowledge of material specifications, metals processing and heat treatment Knowledge of failures caused by stress and corrosion mechanisms Knowledge of surface preparation and protective surface coating IWE certification is an advantage Minimum 3 years of relevant experience Knowledge of relevant standards and specifications used in the North sea Experience and understanding of multi-discipline tasks (process, piping, mechanical, instrument and structure) A commercial mindset, good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ability to deliver quality work within project schedules Be systematic and accurate Available for work in NorwayGood communicative skills in Norwegian and English and team playerMore reasons to work with us:Opportunity to grow your network and develop professionally by integrating yourself into highly competent teams within world-renowned organizations in the energy sectorOn-going support from our experienced recruitment and back-office support professionalsExclusive access to all Aker Solutions’ project positions in Norway, with access to permanent positions when these are offered; we are the only company that has a frame agreement with Aker Solutions for project employmentsFantastic office building with onsite canteen and training facilitiesImmediate proximity to restaurants and shoppingHjemJobbHjem transport discount agreement and nearby train stationInterested?
