We are looking for a Group Controller to join our team in Group Accounting and Reporting. The department is responsible for preparing Hydro's quarterly and annual external financial and sustainability reports, defining Hydro's accounting and ESG reporting policies, and developing Hydro's Internal Control framework. What we offer You will be part of a highly skilled team working with resolution of IFRS/ accounting related issues in close cooperation with Business Area (BA) representatives and group functions. The team performs consolidation of Hydro's group financial statements and the business areas/segments. This is an exciting opportunity to gain a broad understanding of Hydro. ResponsibilityAs part of the team, the Group Controller will:Be continuously updated on developments within IFRS, and contribute in the implementation of new accounting rules in the groupParticipate in preparation of annual financial statements and quarterly reportsDrive processes and secure resolutions related to accounting issuesPerform consolidation of Business Area/Hydro in cooperation with BA representativesParticipate in continuous process improvementsParticipate in corporate and/or BA level projects QualificationsMaster's degree in Accounting or Business Administration3-5 years' experience with consolidation and accounting related issuesPreferably experience from auditing and/or from consolidation in a medium/large sized corporationStrong IFRS competenceKnowledge in HFM is an advantageEffective English skills, both verbal and written Who are you as a person?To thrive in this position, we believe that you are curious, a fast learner with a dynamic and flexible mindset and that you have a desire for continuous professional development.You are also proactive, independent, and hands-on, with a systematic and structured approach to your deliveries.
