CHC Helikopter Services are looking for an Accounting Coordinator to come and join the Finance team in Stavanger! This role will be responsible for processing flying and charge invoices for Norway contracts, raising sales invoices, coordinating credit control along with assisting with month end procedures such as reviewing and posting monthly accruals and reconciling accounts. This will require great interaction internally within all departments and bases and externally with the bank and external customers.This role reports to the Financing Controller - EMEA.Key responsibilities:Raise sales and customer invoices in line with contractual terms and set timescalesCo-ordinate credit control (i.e. customer remittance, customer statements and bad debts) to ensure money is received in line with payment termsReconcile/update AIMS contract codesUpdate invoicing system with new contracts / ratesRespond to all customer queries relating to invoices ensuring these are resolved in a timely mannerCalculate monthly fuel cost for customersMonthly accruals – revenue and costMonthly BS reconciliationsCarbon credit reconciliation to customersCommunication with auditors as part of the yearly audit procedures.May perform other duties/ad-hoc projects as assignedQualifications, skills and attributes:Higher education in cost management, finance, accounting or similar.Extensive relevant experience may compensate for the lack of formal education.Preferable 3 years of relevant experience working within a finance department, in particular accounts receivable.Accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA) is desirable.Past experience of using finance systemsProficiency in excel and other Microsoft excel applicationsBe detail-oriented, organised, and focused on accuracyExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact with internal staff at all levels of the business and externallyAbility to work using own initiative and to work as part of a multi-disciplinary teamAbility to effectively manage own workload, and work within given timescales (both internal and external), to meet monthly deadlines and goalsAdaptability and problem solving capabilityAbility to understand complex contracts
