SLB is a leading technology provider to the world’s largest energy companies.Our team is distributed throughout Europe and this position is based at our new offices in Lysaker, Oslo.About the team You will join a team developing key technologies to help better understand environments hidden several kilometers below the earth’s surface. We do this by blending high-performance computing, cloud technologies and advanced uncertainty analysis. These advances are vital to ensure a stable energy supply in the future and will play a key role in the energy transition to de-risk carbon capture and storage (CCS) and energy storage projects.The team develops a modern software stack with Go on the backend, Angular for frontend components and Kubernetes to run cloud deployments. Most team members are full stack but specialized on different parts of the system. As our new colleague, you will mainly work on the frontend components, but will with time span the entire system.Ready to start kickstart your new career with great colleagues? We are looking forward to hearing from you!About the role As a Front-End Developer in the team, you will have influence over your tasks and use your expertise to build a great product with a real-world impact.Responsibilities and duties:Spend most of your day writing code.Works with subject matter experts to understand how best to solve client problems.Use your expertise to help solve business critical problems.Review your colleagues' work to ensure quality.Develop server-side services to be elastically scalable and secure by design.Write automated tests and be responsible for source code quality.Attending training session on all aspects of the development process (testing, security, DevOps, etc.).Continuously improve the team and product by sharing your knowledge and insights.QualificationsBachelors (or equivalent industrial experiences) / Masters / PhD degree in computer science/software development or a background in science/engineering with software experience.Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within front end.Ability or desire to be involved and deliver on all aspects of the software development cycle (design, development, automated testing, automated deployment and build, software reliability engineering and operation support)Fluently English, written and oral.Experience with Cloud technology, containerization, Kubernetes, Google, Azure or similar is an advantage.Experience with SRE based operation and continuous integration and deployment is an advantage.About youWe are looking for a person who is passionate about technology and software development and enjoys working with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and roles.
