As our new Staff Platform Engineer, you will support the development and operation of software by building, extending, and maintaining our multi-cloud platform. You will be part of the core team ensuring stable and accessible services for our customers, and our engineers. Interested yet? We believe your day-to-day will look somewhat like this: Design and extend our platform with better or new features. Advise engineers in building cloud infrastructure in a secure and repeatable manner. Maintain, upgrade, and monitor our platform. Build services that our engineers can leverage to quicker deliver software. Support users of the platform in consuming the platform as a product. Actively work together with your team to discuss issues, designs, and solutions. To succeed in this role, you will need to have: Hands-on experience with any of the major public clouds (we use Azure and GCP). Practical knowledge and experience with Infrastructure as Code. Good knowledge of Git. Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. The ability to communicate fluently/very well in English (both oral and written). Higher education in relevant areas, or relevant work experience. 5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, or other relevant DevOps or SRE positions. It would also be beneficial to have: Knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Go or Python. Hands-on experience with observability. Experience using GitHub. Knowledge of Backstage. Experience with Crossplane or building Kubernetes Operators. Experience working with Bash.
