Exciting Process Development Scientist position in an innovative biopharmaceutical company. Will you take up a new and important role in CMC, Department for Process and Supply in the Team of Process Development and Technology Transfer? The role will report to Director, Head of Process and Supply. The Process Development Scientist will work with drug substance process development, with scale-up/down activities and troubleshooting. You will mainly be involved with upstream activities and related analytical work. Regardless of your experience and expertise, it is key to success that you are versatile and eager to contribute to the various activities.The Process Development Scientist will be responsible for equipment maintenance and experimental work, reporting and keeping contact with internal stakeholders, external partners and CDMOs. You will take charge of the laboratory work within your area, write protocols, plan and execute experiments, and report your results as well as conduct necessary equipment maintenance, and purchase materials.From time to time, you will be required to focus on meetings and coordination of activities with external partners, where you will be responsible for continuous progress towards predefined goals.Job title: Process Development ScientistApplication deadline: Candidates will be reviewed on an ongoing basisLocation: Oslo The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:  Plan and conducting laboratory experimental work and reporting the results. This includes overall responsibility for ensuring our equipment is up to date and ready to use.Participate in multidisciplinary groups where you represent the process development and transfer team to ensure successful scale-up activities.Continuous contact and support to our CDMO’sEducation and Experience Education:Bachelor of Science / Master of Science in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or similar Experience:Experience with microbial upstream processes would be an advantage.Experience with primary recovery processes would be an advantage.Understanding GMP and quality requirements in the pharmaceutical industry would be favorable.Experience with standard laboratory equipment such as Ambr and Biostat B would be an advantage.You have minimum 3 years of relevant laboratory experience.Proficient in English (written and verbal)Other desired skills and abilities:You enjoy spending time in the lab conducting experiments and other laboratory activities.You can work independently as well as in a group.You have a strong quality mindset and focus on details.You can plan, conduct, and report your work independently.You adhere to timelines and proactively solve challenges.You have curious, innovative and collaborative mindset.Who are we looking for?When hiring new employees, we look for people inspired by our technology and our quest to unlock the future of medicine.
