Therefore, OKEA seek to further strengthen the subsurface team and is currently looking for a Lead Exploration Geophysicist.Level dependent on candidate’s experience and actual position to be filled.OKEAs subsurface exploration team is primarily located in Trondheim.The position reports to VP Exploration. We will assess applications on an ongoing basis and recommend submitting your application as soon as possible. Tasks Contribute actively within OKEAs exploration team and OKEAs subsurface teamThe Lead Exploration Geophysicist position is primarily a technical position with main tasks as listed below: Responsibility for performing and/or follow-up of quantitative geophysical analyses (Rock physics, data conditioning, acoustic and elastic well ties, lithology and fluid prediction, etc)Planning and follow-up of seismic purchase and reprocessing projectsSeismic data quality assessments and improvementsContribute with analyses and assessment of prospects including risking of hydrocarbon presenceFollow-up of OKEA and partner operated exploration licenses and perform technical tasks related to license maturationKeep an overview of OKEA exploration geophysical competencies and databasesAdditional geoscience tasks/responsibilities are likely to be assigned to any subsurface employee in OKEA, e.g. development projects, activities related to subsurface quality management and BD-activities

Qualifications MSc in geoscience related subject Experience from project work or license committee work on NCS is an advantage Good communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and oral Commercial understanding and solution-driven attitudeLike to work in teams
