In NCA we are working to save lives, change lives and change the world, then here is your great opportunity!As our new logistics advisor, you will be a member of the skilled Global Logistics 7 team members based in NCAs Head Office in Oslo. As part of this team, you will be responsible for providing logistics support to some of our country offices and emergency responses and our partner organisations. You will be responsible for securing and implementing consistent and sound procurement and logistics systems in more than 20 country offices globally and further that risks are minimized, and standards and donor requirements met. Experience with audits, investigations, or other reviews will be of great benefit in this role, but we still want you to apply if you don’t.Main responsibilities Provide procurement and logistics capacity building to NCA country offices with a focus on strengthening Country Office logistics teams, local partner organisations and non-logistics staff like programme and finance staff.Monitor and assess country offices and partners to identify strengths, weaknesses, and risks.Support Country Offices and partners with major procurements and during emergencies when required.Contribute to developing and updating policies and procedures for logistics related activities regarding emergency relief work, procurement policies and logistics routines.Support cross-functional cooperation at our Head Office and in Country Offices.Travel to country offices at a regular basis Qualification Minimum 3-5 years of work experience at national/international level in logistics and procurement management.Relevant education in areas related to logistics and procurement.Very good knowledge of English, both written and verbally. Desirable but not mandatory Education in humanitarian logistics.Experience from humanitarian work.Working experience from Africa, Middle East, and/or Asia.Working knowledge of French. Personal qualities Good people skills and team oriented.Ability to network and establish good relations with staff, management, and partner organisations.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.Constructive, flexible and solution focused.Structured with the ability to work independently and take initiative.Culturally sensitive.Must be able to manage high workloads and stressful circumstances.We offer Independent work in a highly satisfying and impactful job.A friendly and pleasant global work community in central Oslo with engaged and supportive colleagues.Autonomy over your own workday in an organization with great flexibility.Possibility to gain unique geographic experience working in countries and communities that are off the common travel.37,5 hour/week worktime incl. lunch.A workplace with organized non-work activities (work-out, hiking, skiing, climbing, culture).Paid overtime, flexible working hours.Good pension and insurance schemes NCA use an electronic recruitment portal.Before you applyWe kindly ask you to carefully read the  ACT Code of Conduct for the prevention of misconduct, including corruption, fraud, exploitation and abuse, including sexual; and to ensure child safeguarding and the  Protection from Sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse and Child Safeguarding policy before you submit your application.
