Today, we have 900 people worldwide, including but not limited to Norway, the US, and Asia, and we are growing rapidly.AutoStore is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join the global supply chain team. With an in-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance and a good understanding of plastics. Experience working in Sourcing, Supplier Management, and customer management will be a plus point. We are looking for an Analytical person interested in technology and developments related to plastic materials. You have good technical product understanding and dedication to quality. To succeed in the role, it will be crucial that you are curious and have the drive to acquire sound knowledge of how AutoStore works.We are Lean, Transparent and Bold – Join our supply chain team as a Supplier Quality Engineer and be part of an innovative and collaborative group.KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Identify and evaluate potential new suppliers using good Sourcing processesCoordinate and participate in supplier validation audits with AutoStore's audit teamOrganize and execute approval of Product samples with accurate documentation of testing results as per AutoStore standards and procedures, including operations of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)Facilitate the approval of Tools (injection molds) according to AutoStore standards and procedures. Monitor Tool usage and maintenance at the supplierWork with the R&D team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capabilities meet AutoStore's requirementsLead the Supplier site approval by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities, Quality assurance, and HSE (EHS) risksTraveling will be a part of the job; for Audits, tools, sample approval, etc., you will have to visit the suppliers.Support new product launches at the Supplier's site to ensure the required standards of Quality, Production, and InspectionFacilitate root cause analysis for the quality issues, create corrective actions with the Supplier, and follow through with the agreed action plansCollaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunitiesParticipate in periodic supplier performance reviews, monitor KPIs, generate action plans, and follow up with Suppliers on timely completionQUALIFICATIONS:Relevant higher education in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, quality, Design, or a similar field2-3 yrs of experience or good knowledge of Manufacturing, Supplier Quality Assurance, Testing, and PlasticsAbility to read and understand engineering drawingsExperience working with other functions, e.g., Engineers, R&D team, Suppliers, or salesAbility to enjoy and work effectively in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environmentFor AutoStore, talent, curiosity, and willingness to learn are important.
