Your primary mission will be to drive the adoption of environmentally friendly ingredients throughout the business globally.As the Global Category Manager, you'll constantly explore new market trends, assess innovative products and technologies, and create compelling business cases for both management and customers. Your responsibilities will also encompass global procurement activities with suppliers. Join us in shaping the future of sustainable feed ingredients!What this role is about This role is your gateway to the introduction of eco-friendly ingredients into Nutreco's global aqua- and agrifeed markets (Skretting and Trouw Nutrition). You'll actively seek out products, explore partnerships, and work closely with global teams to bring these ingredients to the forefront.As part of the Nutreco Macro Procurement team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping Nutreco's ingredient portfolio and its commitment to sustainability. Although sustainable ingredients take time to develop, their potential for cost reduction and positive environmental impact is promising. Your challenge will be selecting the right ingredients and supporting suppliers in scaling up.Nutreco is a global leader in sustainable nutritional solutions, with a strong presence in the aquaculture and agrifeed industries. If you're ready to make a meaningful impact and shape the future of sustainable ingredients, join us in Stavanger.Tasks & responsibilities include (but are not limited to)Become a category expert and disseminate knowledge internally.Drive sustainable ingredient plan development and execution.Seek growth opportunities, manage supply risks, and encourage innovation.Establish supply and commercial terms for raw materials.Develop business cases for new feed ingredients.Handle global contract negotiations, pricing, and contracts.Strategically nurture global supplier relationships and engagement.Act as a liaison between suppliers, R&D, marketing, customers, Opco's, and NuFrontiers in global projects.Support Opco procurement managers in optimizing products and introducing new ingredients.Must Have’s Hold a university degree in science or commerce.Possess over 5 years of management experience in sustainable ingredient supply or a related industry.Demonstrate expertise in project management and product implementation.Exhibit knowledge of category sourcing methods, policies, and procedures.Have hands-on experience with Contracting and ERP systems.Show proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.Excellent English communication (additional languages are a bonus).Display strong presentation abilities.A background or interest in feed ingredients is an asset.The Ideal candidateHas a proactive, optimistic outlook for managing multiple intricate projects and engaging various internal and external stakeholders.Has effective stakeholder management and negotiation skills which are vital to facilitate decision-making across different departments, each with their interests and priorities.Can work strategically with a long-term perspective while addressing short-term OpCo operational needs.Can establish a network of relationships with both internal and external partners and collaborate with teams across different locations is essential.Has a genuine interest in delving into new opportunities and transforming them into commercial ventures by working collaboratively.Is naturally curious, self-motivated, and can work independently.What you get Nutreco can offer you a challenging and exciting career in a multi-disciplinary global work environment, the opportunity to learn, develop and grow with a market leader and a competitive remuneration package.
