BeskrivelseJob Description:As an Application Engineer in the development board team, you will become an expert in Microchip's 8-bit Microcontrollers and toolchain for AVR and PIC. You will be involved in every aspect of design and release of development boards for Microchip's new 8-bit microcontrollers; specification, hardware design (PCB), verification, manufacturing tests, documentation, integration with software ecosystems to make it as easy as possible for Microchip's customers to use our microcontroller products.In your role, you will:· Collaborate with the worldwide Microchip team.· Develop hardware that demonstrates Microchip products functionality,performance, competitive advantage, and ease of use.· Design hardware for manufacturing (schematics and layout) withAltium Designer.· Verify hardware (embedded software and lab measurements).· Develop automated test procedures and test equipment for turnkeymanufacturing (embedded and PC software).· Industrialize products, manage revisions, and interface with manufacturingthrough product lifecycle systems.· Work with version control systems like git and Agile tools such as JIRAand Confluence.· Write documentation for development boards.· Write application notes that describe concepts and usage of Microchip'stechnology in end user applications.Requirements/Qualifications:EducationB.Sc., M.Sc. in eitherElectronicsCyberneticsComputer Science (with focus on embedded, or with electronics as a hobby)or other technical studies with electronics as a hobbyEnglish -- both written and oralCore SkillsDigital and analog schematics and PCB designSome lab experience -- oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, etc.Experience with computer/embedded programming (C and Python)What we can offer:Stable employmentGood working environment with a skilled workforce5 weeks of paid vacation (following 1 year of service)Stock and bonus plansEmployee stock purchase planInsurance and pension planNew and modern office facilities with employee parking, bicycle garage and showersWell run roof top lunch restaurant with a viewActive social club with regular group activities as well as company-wide events throughout the year, AVR ClubTravel Time:No Travel
