Our target is to make the vessels greener, more efficient and more profitable, thanks to the use of advanced automation and scrubber solutions.We are now looking for a Service Engineer within Marine Automation to our Norwegian office in Drammen.As a Service Engineer your key duties lay within:Support and service our Marine customersComputer and/or network programming or design of Valmet marine facilities.Planning and conduct service on demand, upgrades, retrofits and maybe also commissioning.Collection of operating data and preparation of operational/environmental reports for ships.To be a successful Service Engineer you need experience and knowledge of programming, instrumentation and/or installation of Automation systems. You should be willing to learn our own developed programming tools. Experience of working on ships with electrical or data programming is preferred.We believe that you are an independent, self-propelled skilled engineer with good prioritization and decision-making skills.We also believe that you have an engineering background, with PLC and/or automation programming. Knowledge of marine ships engine systems is considered as an asset.If you are a certified electrician, it’s beneficial.This position requires a lot of traveling at times, with approximately 80 -100 traveling days annually, on ships or Marine floating devices. Usually accommodated onboard on the vessel/ship.You need to be able to have English as a working language, any other additional languages are considered an asset.
